#101212 Sharleen's Surprise Birthday Party

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln
 Good Evening Readers!

Happy 12.12.12. Everyone! Today is the last reoccurring day of this century, so I hope you guys made the most of today! Anyways, two days ago Julie organised a late surprise party for Sharleen! The party was held at Wagaya at Fortitude Valley. Wagaya is a Modern Japanese Restaurant and its a place I would recommend although it is a little pricey. The place was only a couple of minutes walk from the train and bus stations which is really convenient. The atmosphere is lovely and vibrant because it encompasses traditional Japanese culture - we were in a VIP Room and to enter the room we had to take off our shoes. Wagaya also has a very different way of ordering, within the room there was a touch screen which acted as both a menu and ordering system. It was really easy to operate and there were pictures with every single dish on their menu. It also had numerous language options which was another bonus. The service was quite efficient and each time we called for a waiter/waitress through the touch screen they came really fast. I think the only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't really functional, even when it was turned on we were still dying from heat.

Anyways, when we arrived at the restaurant I think we were all pleasantly surprised by how big and interesting it was. We were able to decorated the room and also had 'spaces' to hide, which included underneath the table, behind the door and in the corners of the room! When Sharleen opened the door, she saw people underneath the table but we were still able to surprise her! We also had a hard time on deciding what to eat because there was so many options to choose from. Most of us settled on the Lunch Box options which ranged from $11.50 to $14.50, and hardly any one finished it because the portions were so big and there were so many components to it!

Not only did the food look good, it also tasted good *u* Unlike the food at formal!
 Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Box!

Anita practically gave away that we had a Surprise Birthday Cake! Julie got a super nice cake from BreadTop, but we were scared that I had killed the cake when we ran for the train! Thankfully the cake was still in tact!

 The Birthday Girl!

After eating the cake, we saved a slice to cake her! hurhurhur. But then Sharleen went on a rampage to get revenge on everyone. Everybody ran and screamed and according to Nick all the waitresses came over to the door to see what was going on, which was funny because when we called them through the computer to take photos for us they didn't come. We waited about like 10 minutes to take the photos below! We then went to Karaoke at Wagaya, I swear this restaurant is so huge, it had numerous karaoke rooms and it was so cheap as well! Only $6 per person for 1 hour! Such a bargain!

Happy Belated Birthday Sharleen!
