Summer Holiday Update

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Ghandi
Good Evening Readers!

The last time I blogged was around two weeks ago, but it seems like its been ages. Anyways I never really blogged about my last week of school apart from the Grade 12 Farewell Assembly, which you can read about here. The last lesson for each subject we just partied and did nothing which was really good. People were signing books, bears and labcoats in classes throughout the week and teachers didn't mind at all. Since I can't remember anything else, here are some photos!

Maths Party & Ms Gorman's Chocolate Cake! It tasted so good *u*

 Sharleen and Rachel

Chemistry!

 Ms Townend!

Okay those photos are from the Last Day of School, lol but thats about it for Last Week of School because I'm too lazy to find more pictures. LOL. Anyways, these holidays have been quite boring. Most of the time I have just been on skyping away with Angel because Trisha went to India for a month. I did go see The Collective at Queen Street Mall with Angel, Maggie, Sharleen and Julie. The Collective were formed during Boot Camp of X Factor and they came third. Their debut single is called Surrender and the music video for it is below.

Only got photos with Julian and Zach, but it doesn't matter because I saw them all in real life and was within a 1 metre radius of Jayden, Trent and William! And Jayden follows me on twitter!!! Yay. We also saw Joel at Queen Street Mall, it was a day filled with seeing X Factor people!

Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccinos & Polaroids

1000 Piece Masterpiece!

I also got the iPhone 5 after three weeks of attempting to get it from Virgin but they failed badly because they never had any in stock. I know people say that its not the best phone on the market, but compared to my old phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro) which was a disappointment the iPhone is super duper good! I also got the Otterbox Commuter Series (Grey & White) Case for it.

Went shopping a couple of days ago with Angel and Trisha at Carindale. I was disappointed with the sales at Cotton On, but every other shop was really good! I couldn't even connect to the wifi at Carindale #firstworldproblems. We ate at Chocolate Pavilion after shopping and ermahgerd, the food was so good! I had the Sizzling Chocolate Brownie and it was the best thing I had eaten all month. Angel ended up using her drink to explain the Menstrual Cycle to Trisha Patricia and I.

We also got gifts from Trisha Patricia. Thank you!

I have been getting in touch with my Hong Kong side because I have become addicted to Hong Kong Dramas ever since watching 'On Call 36 Hours'. I swear it is the Hong Kong Version of Grey's Anatomy, the hospitals even have similar names and the characters even have similar interests. It was like deja vu, sort of. Then Maggie introduced me to 'Tiger Cubs' and I've been obsessed with it ever since. Both dramas were really good except they both killed off characters that I liked. (╯°□°)╯彡┻━┻ Nevertheless, they are both really good dramas. Definitely recommend them!

Anyways because I didn't blog for a while, belated Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spending it with family and friends.
Also thank you to everyone for helping me with my Nuffnang Ad! And I hope everyone enjoys the last few hours of 2012! Can't believe how fast this year has gone by!

#231012 Farewell Assembly

"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another." - Anatole France
Good Morning Readers!

Two weeks before my final November exams started, was the last week of school and on Tuesday was the annual 'Farewell Assembly' for the Grade 12s. It was such a different experience this time, because this Farewell Assembly was for me and my cohort. Although I have already graduated and my time at QASMT is already up, I know that I will always cherish the memories during the past three years. Seniors of 2013, make the most of your time at QA because it before you know it, your time will also be up! Okay, I went off topic but yeah. This year, the 'Farewell Assembly' was different to the ones in the past, we had normal period 1 and 2 classes and then we basically had the rest of the day off. We had the Farewell Assembly before some 'fun' activities. It was really nice of admin (for once), to be thoughtful and let us enjoy this day. They even fed us pizza for lunch!

We had a number of musical items, which were all so amazing! I'm going to miss all this talent at QASMT!

The one and only Alyssa Christina Aguilera singing Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway

Grade 11 Musical Item by Samantha and Dylan! It was really nice of them to sing for us and I probably would have failed QCS if Samantha never lent me her calculator. Thanks again!

Eileen sang one of her originals for us! It was such a beautiful song, definitely going to miss hearing her songs!

Once again, as per usual we had the Teacher's Item. This year it was 'I Come from the Land of IB', a parody of 'I Come from the Land down Under' by Men At Work. Once again, the teachers made fools out of themselves, and I guess it just made the day so much better! Jacqueline and I saw teachers trying to casually sneak off to get changed as per usual. It's a shame not all teachers got involved. I still remember in Grade 10, when the teachers threw toilet paper into the audience and Angel started collecting it saying she would use it at home. ahaha.

Mr Baker! Going to miss his Trivia Competitions, and its a shame we didn't get to participate in the final one of the year! Digi-Rangers ftw!

Mr Gooch flipping a table and Gangnam Style Ms Francis

Here's a video of their performance! The beginning might not make sense to you non-IB people, the song starts at 6:54!

"I've come to the land of IB
At Queensland Science Academy
Extended Essay, CAS and Tee O Kay
I can't wait for my graduation day..."

We then had the 'Loop of Honour' which was weird, considering this time I was going through the loop. They also changed it up a bit this time where everyone got gifts from their Instep, which was a really nice thought from admin again. If only they saw what some people got. My Instep just got a piece of paper certificate thing, oh no really, thank you so much, its not like I couldn't do that myself. I must say, I did get jealous of what others got, far out, and this is why my Instep sucks.

Tristian being the ever so cool person he is! I still remember when I beat him in debating in Grade 9 and got scared of his dad. LOL. The topic was something about having selective secondary schools, and it was weird because we were both going to QA (which I found out when his Dad told me during the debate since he was the chairperson...)

Pizza, kindly provided by the admin. JOKES. Probably money from our school fees.

We ended the day off with Tug of War, not really sure why though. I kinda killed the day for me, since we were out in the sun, dying from heat. But at the same time, it was really nice to have one last time being apart of Curie! I liked it better when we were Badran!

Enjoy this picture of Darron! Hopefully he doesn't kill me for posting this here haha. Seriously going to miss this guy, met him in Grade 4 and he such an awesome person! Going to miss him teaching me Maths and Chemistry on the train before exams!

We also got our letters that we wrote to ourselves during Year 12 Retreat. I had completely forgotten about the letter and when I read it, I was so surprised as how supportive I was of 'Future Sam', saying that I would die a hobo if I didn't study enough....

Some people from my grade, also took time off study to create a parody video of our own! It was really good to see my grade involved! We did a parody of One Direction's One Thing, except it ended up being called 'Cause I've Done the IB'. Check out the video below!

Okay, it is time for me to sleep! Its nearly 1am! I'll blog again very soon! Also, Jacqueline, Jade and Paulina Nicole, if you guys are reading this, I hope you guys have a really awesome time on your cruise! I hope global warming doesn't cause a tsunami or anything! Stay safe, don't get rabies and return STD free!

Good (Early) Morning Readers!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

#221112 Graduation: Class of 2012

"You may leave school, but it never leaves you." - Andy Partridge
Good Evening Readers!

On Thursday November 22, 2012 I graduated from Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology. Although it was six days later than QSA schools, the day had arrived after three years of the International Baccalaureate. I couldn't have asked for a better cohort to share this day with, I am truly going to miss everyone! But congratulations to QASMT Class of '12. We have made it, we got there and we have all done our very best! So let's enjoy this well deserved break!

French Exams and Graduation Rehearsal were held in the morning! It was a waste of time, they started late and told us useless information. Only exciting part was when we got our gowns and everyone pretended to be at Hogwarts. haha. After rehearsal I went to Sunnybank to have Yum Cha with my parents, the place we went to sucked! But I'm not surprised, everything sucks in Australia!

Okay, I think its time for pictures to do the talking!

 Instep 2!
Some of the Insteps left the stage with style, while others like mine just walked off. haha.
 Photo with the fam bam

The wong gou and the principal

Group photo with some of the lovely people who've made my time at QA so much more enjoyable!
The Wong Gou!
Mc Lao, the flying Cow!
Dr Lawrence, one of my favourite teachers at QASMT! She even watches Grey's Anatomy!

We also got given gifts from the school, gifts we probably paid for ourselves. We got a folder containing our graduation certificate, our Insights Magazine, a white Stole which says 'Class of 2012' and a Keychain which also says 'Class of 2012'. It was nice to have more memorabilia apart from our Senior Jackets!

Graduating Class of QASMT 2012!

The next day, we had a party at Jade's house to celebrate Graduating from QASMT, Jacqueline getting DUX, Jacqueline's Birthday, Nicole's Birthday, Nicola's Birthday, Declan's Birthday and Harry's Birthday! Yay! Thank you to Jade and her family for hosting our parties for the last two years!

Yeah I know. You don't need to tell me, I'm so attractive!

Here is a video that Tim  made for Graduation! It was such a great video to recap all the memories during the last three years! He even chose the best photo of me...

Congratulations QASMT Class of 2012!
We conquered the IB!
You guys have been an amazing cohort, and I know you guys will all succeed in whatever pathways you choose to take! All the best for the future!
