Summer Holiday Update II

"We are each on our own journey. Each of us is on our very own adventure; encountering all kinds of challenges, and the choices we make on that adventure will shape us as we go; these choices will stretch us, test us and push us to our limit; and our adventure will make us stronger than we ever know we could be." - Aamnah Akram
Good Morning Readers!

I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year! I haven't updated in a while because the holidays have brought out my lazy side. January meant the release of IB Results and QTAC offers and I'm pleased to say I will be studying Occupational Therapy at The University of Queensland! Congratulations to everyone on their first round university offers and even if you didn't into the course you wanted, I hope second round offers work out for you! And also congratulations to all IB students, I hope you all received the mark you truly deserved! I must say I am anything but pleased with my uni timetable because I still have to go five days a week. However, I have PSYC1030 with Trisha and Angel so its all good!! Sign on for me is on in a few days, and I just hope I get the times I want!

School has already started again, and it feel really weird knowing that people have started school again while I'm at home doing nothing. I hope the QASMT Seniors of 2013 make the most out of their last year! I hope I visit QA sometime soon because I miss it. I know I've said that I would never visit it because it was worst place in the world, but I really do miss my time there. Anyways, so I've gone out a couple of times since the last time I blogged. I went to Taylor Range Country Club in Ashgrove with Trisha and Angel because Trisha's family are members there so we got free entry. Thank you Jogia fam bam. After seeing the website I had such high expectations for it, but unfortunately it didn't meet the expectations because every second thing was broken, old or rusting. But in saying so, they had a wide range of facilities where were good. We attempted to have our own version of the Australian Open but we only lasted about 15 minutes before having a heat stroke because we were geniuses and decided to play when it was 35 degrees. We played two hours of tennis before giving up and jumping in the pool for a swim.

Nandos for lunch which we burned off after 2 hours of tennis

 Angel being Angel...
I've also gone to see Life of Pi and Pitch Perfect. If you guys haven't seen either of those movies I seriously recommend you do! Life of Pi is an adventure drama film based on the novel written by Yann Martel and its about a 16 year old boy who survives a shipwreck on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger. Trisha said that Life of Pi would be something that I wouldn't like watching, but I ended loving the film because it was so unpredictable. Pitch Perfect on the other hand is a musical comedy film about The Barden Bellas, a group of college girls, who complete against other a cappella groups to win Nationals. The Pitch Perfect cast make the movie so good, especially Rebel Wilson. Whenever you see her on screen, something hilarious is going to happen.

Some of the best parts of the movie:
I hope everyone's holiday has been more exciting than mine. LOL, because mine have honestly been a daily routine of boring. I've been watching Castle and Once Upon A Time lately and I've finished rewatching City Hunter. I also went to Suitcase Rummage with Angel and Rebecca on Sunday. I didn't expect to find anything but I found some really good bargains!
Glee Season 1 Volume 2, Glee Season 2 Volume 1, Mr Bean. All for $7 :')
 Angel at her best

Rebecca has also started a blogshop with her cousin, called BM Boutique, so click here to check it out. They are Brisbane based and sell items including jackets, tops, jewellery and dresses.

I have also gotten a job at Kumon Underwood! Yay! I didn't even have to apply for the job because my brother was already working there and the centre was short of staff so I just got the job! And since its a tuition centre my work time is set and it fits in perfectly with my uni timetable which is awesome! Not too sure if I will take up a second job because I think it might be hard to balance two jobs and uni.

Ellen is also coming to Australia next month, but unfortunately no one cares about Brisbane. Anyways, I'm going to start Season 2 of Once Upon A Time now. In the meantime, check out Taylor Swift's latest music video - I Knew You Were Trouble.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!

Summer Holiday Update

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Ghandi
Good Evening Readers!

The last time I blogged was around two weeks ago, but it seems like its been ages. Anyways I never really blogged about my last week of school apart from the Grade 12 Farewell Assembly, which you can read about here. The last lesson for each subject we just partied and did nothing which was really good. People were signing books, bears and labcoats in classes throughout the week and teachers didn't mind at all. Since I can't remember anything else, here are some photos!

Maths Party & Ms Gorman's Chocolate Cake! It tasted so good *u*

 Sharleen and Rachel

Chemistry!

 Ms Townend!

Okay those photos are from the Last Day of School, lol but thats about it for Last Week of School because I'm too lazy to find more pictures. LOL. Anyways, these holidays have been quite boring. Most of the time I have just been on skyping away with Angel because Trisha went to India for a month. I did go see The Collective at Queen Street Mall with Angel, Maggie, Sharleen and Julie. The Collective were formed during Boot Camp of X Factor and they came third. Their debut single is called Surrender and the music video for it is below.

Only got photos with Julian and Zach, but it doesn't matter because I saw them all in real life and was within a 1 metre radius of Jayden, Trent and William! And Jayden follows me on twitter!!! Yay. We also saw Joel at Queen Street Mall, it was a day filled with seeing X Factor people!

Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccinos & Polaroids

1000 Piece Masterpiece!

I also got the iPhone 5 after three weeks of attempting to get it from Virgin but they failed badly because they never had any in stock. I know people say that its not the best phone on the market, but compared to my old phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro) which was a disappointment the iPhone is super duper good! I also got the Otterbox Commuter Series (Grey & White) Case for it.

Went shopping a couple of days ago with Angel and Trisha at Carindale. I was disappointed with the sales at Cotton On, but every other shop was really good! I couldn't even connect to the wifi at Carindale #firstworldproblems. We ate at Chocolate Pavilion after shopping and ermahgerd, the food was so good! I had the Sizzling Chocolate Brownie and it was the best thing I had eaten all month. Angel ended up using her drink to explain the Menstrual Cycle to Trisha Patricia and I.

We also got gifts from Trisha Patricia. Thank you!

I have been getting in touch with my Hong Kong side because I have become addicted to Hong Kong Dramas ever since watching 'On Call 36 Hours'. I swear it is the Hong Kong Version of Grey's Anatomy, the hospitals even have similar names and the characters even have similar interests. It was like deja vu, sort of. Then Maggie introduced me to 'Tiger Cubs' and I've been obsessed with it ever since. Both dramas were really good except they both killed off characters that I liked. (╯°□°)╯彡┻━┻ Nevertheless, they are both really good dramas. Definitely recommend them!

Anyways because I didn't blog for a while, belated Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spending it with family and friends.
Also thank you to everyone for helping me with my Nuffnang Ad! And I hope everyone enjoys the last few hours of 2012! Can't believe how fast this year has gone by!

30 Days and Counting

"Try again, fail again. Fail better." - Samuel Beckett

Good Evening Readers!

School starts tomorrow, and that means two weeks of holidays have come and gone by! I've only updated once these holidays, haha, but at least I'm blogging now. Exams are in less than 30 days and instead of using these holidays effectively, I have watched Scary Movie 1, Scary Movie 2, Scary Movie 3, The Dictator and Valentine's Day. Watched Scary Movie 2 at the same time as Trisha and Angel and we skype called at the same time. So funny, pretty sure our  ears have gone a billion times worse because Angel cannot stop screaming. New season of Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother and Revenge are back, adjflkefaelkjfeljreragd. So happy! Been waiting to find out what happens in Grey's Anatomy and Revenge for ages! I really recommend these two dramas because they are so good, and Pretty Little Liars! Best TV Shows Ever! It is a shame that I won't be watching them until after exams.

Anyways, during the first week of holidays I attended Badran's Chemistry Intensive Revision Workshop. It was really helpful but it made me feel better I guess about Chemistry, because it helped me work out topics that I need to focus more on, because my lovely Chemistry teacher is too slack to do any marking. The workshop was held at Somerville House, and the campus is really nice! Their library is so much better compared to ours, the resources they have are a lot better as well :( I also played Monopoly for the first time during the Workshop, haha. Since Cotton On was having sales, Trisha, Angel and I decided to go last night shopping. Alyssa ended up joining us because we are just that awesome. /brushes dust off shoulders. While we were at Cotton On, Lady Marmalade started to play just as 'Christina' was leaving. ahahaha. If you don't know what I'm talking about then click here

Angel went down to Sydney for a couple of days and while she was packing, Trisha and I had a few conversations with Mr Lao/Uncle Weng. While Angel was in Sydney, I found a place to play Monopoly online, click here to go to the site. The site isn't that great, it gets really laggy sometimes. But when you play Monopoly, there is a place where you can talk to the other players. Pretty sure Trisha and I have made a few enemies on Monopoly. LOL. Here are some of our finest moments:

And here are some of my finest trades:

I know, you don't have to tell me. I'm so good at Monopoly.

While playing Monopoly, we got bored since we didn't have a person to troll we decided to go on Chat Roulette. Angel became friends with a gay couple, I talked to someone in his final year of IB in Melbourne and Trisha, well she just got exposed to a lot of nudity.

Found this photo on Facebook, I don't think its meant to be funny, but I just lost it when I saw it.

Yesterday, I went to Carindale with a cactus except I was just roaming around for like half and hour, because someone was too lazy to get there on time. We pretty much spent most of the time at Cotton On, because everything was on SALE. Everything on sale was $5 or under. We were in the store for like 30 seconds, before I knocked a pair of shoes over. Moved onto Typo next, and oh my gosh, best day of my life, found spinout pens for $1 each. The designs were pretty dodegy though, it was either a floral one or a seizure one... naturally, I chose the seizure one. Cactus, also decided to knock down a clock and like make a gigantic noise and everyone was looking at us. How embarrassing . Walked round Carindale a bit more before going back to Cotton On, with a sales assistant person was like, "Welcome back, again" How embarrassing, she remembered us. Didn't buy anything the second time round because I had pretty much searched every inch of the store for a bargain, but then as we were leaving Cactus decided to knock over an entire stack of clothes, in from of someone who worked at Cotton On.  Embarrassment for the fourth time. Bussed to Garden City to go to Cotton On, pretty sure we're Cotton On addicts and at first we were disappointed but then we found this place of sales stuff and then we were so happy. Bought 2 pairs of shoes for a dollar each, how crazy is that? The original price of the shoes were $20, so I got $40 worth of shoes for $2. haha. Got to admit, the shoes are pretty ugly, but hey, they were only a dollar.

Seizure Typo Pens / Cactus's Apology for leaving stranded in Carindale.

Probably my last update until exams are over! Three years of working coming down to about 3 weeks of exams! We can do this, just believe in yourselves and do the very best that you can!
